Welcome to Armonía Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a gentle, flowing martial art that promotes harmony between body, mind, and spirit. At Armonía Tai Chi, we teach the Yang/Moy form — the most widely practiced style in North America.
The complete form contains 108 movements, divided into three sections. Beginners often start by learning just the first part, which can be completed in two to three months and offers a beautiful short form to practice. Learning the full form typically takes six months to a year.

🌀 Our Focus: Body, Mind, and Spirit in Harmony
At Armonía Tai Chi, we emphasize whole-person wellness — not just movement, but also meditation, health, and spiritual grounding. Classes are guided by Roger (Rogelio) Sessions, whose training and life experience spans all three areas:
🧘♂️ Body
Roger has studied the Yang/Moy Tai Chi form for over ten years. While the full form is the core of each class, he also integrates insights on nutrition and well-being, encouraging a diet based on whole plant foods. (Following this is not required to participate.)
🧠 Mind
Roger is also the founder and president of Meditation Chapel, an online meditation community with over 10,000 members. He brings this deep meditative practice into his Tai Chi teaching, using the form itself as a moving meditation.
🕊️ Spirit
Roger is a former Benedictine Oblate and is a Spiritual Director commissioned by the Episcopal Church. He is the author of several spiritual books, including The Christian I Ching and Mary of Magdala, Wisdom Bearer. He has studied Taoism, the spiritual foundation of Tai Chi, for most of his life. (All spiritual traditions are welcome to participate.)
🐾 A Note of Joy
Roger lives in Guanajuato, where classes are held. He is often accompanied by his beloved rescue dog — a gentle presence in the class who enjoys watching the group move together in peace and harmony.
